I am a Long Island, NY native and my law career started at 10 years old in the halls of youth court in a Suffolk County police station. It was there that my love for advocacy bloomed. I learned that by analyzing the statutes and zealously arguing, I could help young people avoid juvenile detention in favor of things like service and heartfelt apologies.
After a stint as a litigator, I went in-house and haven’t looked back. I’ve practiced in energy, tech, construction, staffing, healthcare, real estate, and end-of-life, supporting small startups to Fortune 500s. My experience includes negotiating agreements for multi-million-dollar complex projects, drafting bespoke contracts, legal operations, regulatory compliance, intellectual property, employment, advertising and marketing law, and privacy. Clients appreciate my frankness, collaborative approach to lawyering, and willingness to dig into any issue, no matter how sticky or unglamorous.
I graduated from Boston University in 2008 and received my J.D. from Northeastern University, Massachusetts in 2011, where I met Tim, who immediately impressed me with his innate legal abilities, sense of humor, and fearlessness in answering challenging questions.
A few years ago I moved south to Charleston, SC in search of warmer weather and less traffic. Luckily I found both. Outside of the office, you can find me chasing my two young sons, walking with our little Yorkie, AC Slater, traveling with my husband, or at the beach with all of them!

I became a lawyer to help people. My first case as a paralegal resulted in a win that kept open a small accounting software company facing a threat from a huge firm. My second case, a month later, helped keep a pharmaceutical division of a larger conglomerate open. They saved thousands of people’s jobs. Since then, I have been hooked on using the law to help people achieve their goals.
My corporate legal experience ranges from preparing SEC quarterly and annual filings for large, publicly traded companies to setting up succession plans, contracts, and annual minutes for small, family run businesses. In 2011, I moved to Charlottesville, Virginia and became a litigation associate where my cases included a complex contract litigation between pharmaceutical companies, small business succession disputes, and a dispute over real estate investment business. Additionally, I helped stand up the Virginia Equality Bar Association, the first LGBTQ bar association in Virginia, having just moved from Massachusetts whose analog began in 1981.
In 2014, I moved to California and established my own practice, centered on trust and estate planning, with a focus on small business succession planning. Over the past seven years, I have set up and helped implement plans for estates totaling over $75 million.
I graduated from Harvard University cum laude in 2004 with a B.A. in History and received my J.D. from Northeastern University, Massachusetts in 2011 where I had the privilege to get to know Jill, one of the hardest workers I know. She who blew me away with her intelligence and ability to solve complex hypotheticals in practical and nuanced ways. Now, I am lucky because we solve our clients’ real-world problems together.
Outside of the office, you will find me skiing, hiking, or camping, and visiting loved ones, including my chosen family and family of origin.
